Regularly tuned by a member of the Piano Technician's Guild, it has also recently been voiced, and otherwise adjusted to suit the needs of its owner. The piano sounds marvelous, has a brilliant tone, not harsh, has plenty of oomph in the bass, a wonderful singing tone in the treble. The action is responsive and exacting. All in all an excellent instrument! It has a functioning Dampp-Chaser humidity system installed, has the requisite Jansen Adjustable Artist Bench included.
The Model L has recently been replaced by the Model O in Steinway's line up of 6 different grand pianos. What was once S,M, L, A, B and D is now S, M, O, A, B and D. The Model L is the same size as the O at 5'10 1/2" in length. A new Model O is priced above $100,000.00.
