Steinway, Model A, 1897, SOLD!
A true gem, this Steinway Model A grand piano with the serial number 88257 dates to 1897, when it was originally sold to a customer in St. Paul, MN according Steinway's records. It was restored there, probably in the late 1960s, and soon after, made its way to Duluth, where it stayed with its owner until now. The full 6'1" grand piano sound is there in this beautiful instrument. The satin ebony finish is in good shape, considering what amounts to a 60 year old piano and the old glow is still there! New Steinway Model A pianos cost over $80,000.00. This piano has been tended by two Registered Piano Technicians over the years, and they agree that with just a little TLC, this will become an even more excellent instrument. Currently, the piano has power and brilliance. The strings are full of life! The current owners are also willing to help with paying for some adjustments, if deemed necessary. Come try it out! See for yourself! This is a piano which helped give Steinway the reputation it has today.
