Chickering, Model 135, 5'5" Quarter Grand Piano
SOLD!
Lovingly cared for over the years, this piano stems from the Golden Era of piano building. The model 135 dates from the late 1920s or early 1930s. The original ivory key tops are in good condition. Unlike some of its massive ancestors, this is a classic, elegant piano. At 5'5", a very good sounding baby grand, but not so big as to overwhelm a room. There are a few signs of age which the new owner may or may not choose to touch up, but overall, this is a very good piano which has stood the test of time! The pin block seems stable, and it holds its tune! Originally asking over $4000, the owners are very motivated, and have lowered the price drastically! This is a very good deal for a worthy piano! Chickering was the first piano manufacturer in the USA. This piano belongs fully to that tradition.
