Knight Upright Piano, 1964, SOLD!
Knight was a highly respected British maker. They were founded in 1936, but their best years were between about 1960 and 1985. They were the only piano maker represented in Steinway Hall in London alongside Steinway! Their last piano was built in 2003. This modern looking piano built in 1964 was in the same family for a long time, and shows a little cabinet wear, probably due to sun exposure. For a piano that is over 50 years old, this piano not only looks fabulous but also sounds great top to bottom. Knight was very innovative in their upright piano design, and this unusual piano is a good example of this. It has a very consistent sound throughout its range, and a very pleasant sound it is, too! The finish is a high gloss lacquer. This will be an excellent piano for someone who has limited space, but wants a substantial sound from a small, but solid package. In England, pianos like this are selling for $3000. Come in and convince yourself of the sound and the value!
