Today's Shipment Delayed

1/6/2015

Well, we were all ready to accept our next shipment, and then we got the call, that the truck would be delayed. Too much snow on the state highways, so a detour will delay the arrival until tomorrow morning. Of course, tomorrow morning the temperature here will be -20 F. Well, the instruments are well packed! So, the store will change, with some new, and even fancier Clavinovas! I am really looking forward to seeing all that they can do. One of the fun challenges of this business is juggling all of our 'outside' activities. If you only knew! But it makes our lives "ganz rund," as the Germans would say.

Now, the art is hanging in the store. And it looks fabulous! Esther's non-representational art is contrasted by Ladona's colorful nature photography. For an idea, check out the Exhibit page on our site. I spent some time this afternoon hanging a mirror. I wasn't happy when closing time came, but I will get it right tomorrow. Paul stopped by, and we made way for the shipment. I think the store will still be presentable, even with a bunch of new boxes. They are also pretty big boxes, but not nearly as clumsy as the big ones for the bigger acoustic pianos. Boy, I sound experienced now, don't I?

I promised more pictures. They are on their way. For sure.

We joined the Duluth Chamber of Commerce! That is a pretty big deal for me. I, all of a sudden, feel respectable! You know, our store is barely open, and I am already really proud of it. It has come a long way from a glimmer in it's owner's eyes.
