Summertime, and buying a piano was never easier!

No, that is not one of ours. First of all, the water is probably not that good for it. Secondly, just moving that thing out through the sand....what a pain! In other words, "what some people do for a picture, eh?"

But if that were 'our' lake, it would be a Superior way to cool off the hot feet of a blisteringly black grand piano! (and bench).
I can tell it's summer out there. People are wearing fewer and fewer clothes. Even the tourists have taken off their jackets. (See, in Duluth, we go without jackets until it is below freezing). It is now July, and our peonies have not bloomed yet. They will in a week or so, I'd bet. The lilacs just finished up. Everything is nice and green here. Enough rain for a change. But people in town are happy. For a short time, they can behave like other people in the world.

As a matter of fact, I think I am going to stick my toes in the lake pretty soon, too. Might even venture a little farther up. It does my knees a world of good to get the therapeutic waters of Gitchee Gumee around them for a time.
