Once again, I helped out with the Anchorage Chamber Music Festival. Students ages 9 through 39 took part in a week-long intensive program, highlighted with faculty concerts and master classes, and a final student concert. It's fun to see students progress throughout this very busy week. And a pretty great place to make music, too! There were also a few pianists among the string players, helping form piano trios, quartets, and quintets. I was happy to see quite a few Yamaha pianos in use at the University of Alaska Anchorage! The summer season is slowly coming to an end. Plenty of heat out there still to enjoy (for those of you enjoy heat). But if you need a respite from the weather, or just the hub-bub of daily life, stop in to the piano showroom for some free music!
